Tuesday, January 22nd, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

In this session, you’ll learn why stucco homes leak. We’ll cover code requirements, the common installation defects that lead to water entry, drainage issues, and thickness and cracking issues.

We’ll cover the major differences between applications on concrete vs. wood backing.  You will learn how to inspect stucco and to quickly determine thickness, analyze cracking, and how to determine whether or not the stucco is properly installed to allow drainage. You’ll learn why tens of thousands of homes have concealed damage due to improperly installed stucco and where to look during a home inspection to find this damage.
