General FAQs

Who can attend InspectionWorld?

Anyone can attend InspectionWorld, although ASHI members pay a reduced registration fee.

What is the cost to register?

See the registration fees page.

What is the schedule for the conference?

See the prelimary conference schedule.

What day should I arrive? What day should I leave?

The conference officially starts on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, with the opening of the Expo Hall at 3:00 p.m., and concluding on Wednesday with the Opening Night Expo Hall Reception. Once the conference has started, it continues non-stop until the end of the educational sessions at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012. This is the official end of the conference. The majority of people will arrive during the day on Wednesday, to take advantage of a leisurely visit with vendors in the Expo Hall, and, by arriving early, you will be settled and ready to go when the conference food and beverage events begin that evening. You also might want to come a few days early or stay a few days longer to enjoy the Arizona Biltmore resort or to see the sights of Phoenix and surrounding areas.

What is the schedule for the educational sessions?

There are three, two-hour session blocks on each day, Thursday through Saturday, totaling 18 session hours available for you to attend. During each session block, you must make a choice between six tracks occurring simultaneously. You can stick with one track for the entire conference, or pick and choose whichever courses appeal most to you.

Is there a separate registration to attend any one of the Pre-Conference training courses?

Yes. Registration for any of the Pre-Conference courses that are being offered on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, is completely separate from InspectionWorld registration.

What should I wear to the conference?

Be comfortable. Days at conference can be long and intense. Comfortable shoes are a must; the resort is big, but the function space is all in two adjoining ballrooms, with easy access between them. During conference hours, standard dress is "business casual." People tend to dress a little more formal for The President’s Gala on Friday night, but jackets and ties are never required at InspectionWorld.

What are some other things that I should think about bringing with me?
